MISSION

As a valued member of our engineering team, reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer – Utilities at DSEC will serve as the primary reference for Utilities packages and execute all pertinent technical duties mandated by EPC, EPCM, or basic engineering projects.
•Proficiency in relevant norms and standards governing Utilities packages.

•Preparation of consumption balances and specification of main equipment.

•Drafting technical specifications and participation in procurement processes, including expediting supplier documentation.

•Oversight of supplier interactions and technical supervision of DSEC’s subcontracts, ensuring equipment acceptance.

•Consolidation of supplier documentation within the project, with interdisciplinary support.

•Proactive involvement, in conjunction with the Project Manager, in equipment delivery and costing tracking.

•Travel to supplier facilities or DSEC project sites for technical missions such as expediting, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning (10-20% of time).

•Adherence to contract requirements and proposal of corrective measures, subject to approval by the Project Manager/Contract Manager, in case of deviations.

•Monitoring project progress until completion within the defined scope.

Specific Tasks:

Compressed Air:
•Specification of compressors based on design consumptions and air type.

•Design of compressed air distribution networks.

Water Production:
•Specification of water production systems based on water analysis to meet plant requirements.

•Expertise in process water, utilities, and steam generation.

HVAC:
•Thermal balance and air renewal design, including energy balance calculations.

•Expertise in diverse environments: process zone, hygienic zone, white rooms, office spaces, and electrical rooms.

Fire Fighting and Detection:
•Coordination/interface between project disciplines.

•Familiarity with international norms (NFPA) and interpretation of local regulations.

•Collaboration with local specialized design firms.

•Support for client interactions with local authorities, fire brigade, insurers, etc.

Profil

•Master’s degree in Engineering, with specialization options including Civil Works, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), Automation, Process, Mechanical, Electro-mechanical, or Chemistry.

•Several years of relevant experience in engineering or industrial sectors, particularly within agro-industrial domains such as sugar, vegetable oils, biofuels, agrochemicals, or biomass.

•Minimum of two years’ exposure to responsibilities outlined in the main tasks and responsibilities sections

•Proficiency in French (Minimum C1 level) and English (minimum C1 level).

•Proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
